Andy Monks is an Australian based freelance Illustrator who has worked for many major entertainment and animation houses internationally and locally including Animal Logic. Clients have included Disney, Warner Bros and Village Roadshow.
He has also worked on advertising for Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s and music clips for band's like Silverchair. As well as numerous film projects including Inspector Gadget 2, George of the Jungle and Happy Feet.
Andy has won numerous awards for his work including an Academy Award for Happy Feet for Best Animated Film 2007 as well as numerous Art Director and Animation and Effects Awards.
Andy’s working techniques include hand drawn, photo manipulation and digital painting. He creates cartoons and paintings, ranging from works with a dark twist and subtle humor to amusing and fun characters. Andy is available for book publishing, magazines, newspaper Illustration, concept art and character design for games, TV, toys and film, greeting cards, packaging Illustration, posters and photo manipulation for Ad Agency commercial work.
